If my Chinese language knowledge still serves me well, the first for chinese characters literally means let's keep the root. Me and my buddy Allen and the femes Robin Wong went to Kenyalang Commercial Centre to attend our very first Rock Party. To my pleasant surprise, the turnout that night was pretty encouraging given that it poured quite heavily before the event started.
We missed a few gigs cuz we decided to go for our dinner first before shooting like there's no tomorrow (pardon the pun).
Very feminine -_-"""
Pazuzu (surprised to see him on stage, man of multi-talents)
So into it~~
Another partner in crime, funkye aka Frankie (he has more talents than all your fingers put together)
Guess who?
Ooooooohhh....It's Andy Phe (U rock brada!!!)
Union Jack
Kamehamehaaaaaaaaaaa~~~
Who can forget this uncle with his band members who rocked the hall with their rendition of 2 Original Hakka rock number?
Guitarist from a Hongkie band who spots a cool hairdo
This Hongkie band really brought down the house with a couple of Canto-Rock hits
Tilt your head and move it all around...
And they even brought along their hot GFs who snap photos! Now who doesn't dig a girl who snaps with a DSLR? Well, at least I know that I do!
End with a B-A-N-G!!!
Overall, I would consider this event a real breath of fresh air in the local rock music scene. And based on the turnout which we had last night, I am sure there will more similar events in the future right here in Kuching.
And before I end this entry, I wanna post a few shots of bloggers at work that night...
Notice the hood of his lens? Looks chromed to me :)
ROCK ON BABEH!!!

Changes
changes
why are we so afraid of changes?
why do we always think changes are bad?
why do we need changes when we are already so comfortable doing what we do?
is there really a need to change?
oh well
is there a choice?
NO!
so fuck it!
suck it up and embrace it.

Kuching Bridal Fair 2009
This post might come in a little late but no matter what I have to share some photos I took. This event was held at Crowne Square, Kuching from 3-5 April 2009. It's actually an annual roadshows for major bridal shops from Kuching and Peninsular Malaysia. I was told that there were catwalks during the fair so I told myself "Don't give any lame excuses and pick up the camera and snap photos of chicks (if there's any at all - well, you can't blame me cuz Kuching is a small city and I have seen better when I was in KL and Penang and even Taiwan).
I went there with my buddy Calvin and met up with Allen and Irene soon after we had arrived. Too bad the show had started so we missed a good 15 mins of the catwalk parade :( But nonetheless, here are some photos taken that night.
The ladies....
She's got nice height and nice feature and nice figure
Tasty pink
And the guys...
Tree trunk
Another tree trunk -_-"
I am unhappy with the shots taken that night because of the weird lighting. Why? Because along the long stage, there was hardly any lights on the models. And when the models pose right in front of the stage, there's a super duper glare cutting through the models' faces. Check out the following photos then you will know what I mean.
I hope the organisers of this event will improve on the lightings next year around.
Overall, the response from the general public (or should I say those lovebirds who are planning to tie the knot soon) is quite well despite the current economy crunch.
With that, I end this note with a big sigh... When will I find my true love?
