Big Boys Toys

Firepower

These guns may look familiar to you. But can you imagine that they are sold openly at one of the shops here in Taipei? Cool huh?

The one on top from the movie "Alien" cost ~RM3000.

Cold Again

According to the weatherman, it's gonna be a cold day in Taiwan.

During the day, the temperature for Taichung is between 16-26 degrees Celsius.

Day

But During the night, temperature would drop to 16-19 degrees.

Night

Sigh, I think I had better get myself another fuzzy warm jacket.

The Knot Was Tied

Wendy, my secondary classmate just got married/registered.

I have known Wendy since Form 1 back in SMK Batu Lintang. She came into our class in the 2nd semester. Along the 5 years of secondary school life, we got along pretty well. I'm really delighted with her taking this big step into a new chapter of her life. I wish Wen and her hubby many happy years to come.

Wen and Ming - don't they look blissful?

I regret that I will not be able to attend her wedding dinner reception on the 23 Nov (yeah, I'm still in Taiwan), but she has all my best wishes in her new journey with Ming. Will catch up with you guys when I get back next year.

I Caught Sunrise

I woke up at 6am this morning. Went to the bathroom to brush my teeth but check out what was on display...

I quickly brushed my teeth and grabbed my camera and snapped away. I have never seen sunrise here in Taiwan before so I was pretty excited. As the ray grew stronger by the second. Suddenly the sun came into view and boy it was bright. I took a couple more photos after that because it was just too bright to shoot directly into the sun.

Fruits

(from left to right clockwise: 蜜梨 honey pear,恐龙蛋 imported date,香瓜 mini honey dew,芭乐 guava)

I had the chance to buy some fruits from a fruit shop here in Taichung. They look like "our" fruits in Malaysia but I must say these fruits cost me a bomb.

NTD$169 (~RM18) in total! In Malaysia, you can get all these fruits for less than RM10.

Autumn

Today's weather forecast (Courtesy of Central Weather Bureau of Taiwan)

Finally, the long awaited (not so welcome) autumn is here. The temperature here at Taichung has dropped to 20°C now. Brrrrrr....... We are all lazy to go outdoors now because it's just too cold. Guess I can finally pull out my jacket from the bottom of my suitcase.

Bag of Chips

I bought this bag of potato chips from Costco. It's a huge bag of chips.

I am not kidding you when I say it's a HUGE bag of chips... see...

And it only cost me NTD100 (~RM11).

I love Taiwan!

Exotic Cars

When I was in Kaohsiung last weekend, I bumped into a huge convoy of cars. This is not your ordinary convoy but a pure breed of European Exotics... A total of 9 supercars were on display.

The best thing about the whole showcase is that these cars had their engines on. So imagine 9 masterpiece of car engineering blowing their engines all simultaneously...that's about 3000 ponies.

I almost wet my pants! LOL...

Kenting (墾丁)Trip

Last last weekend, me and my fellow Malaysians also "X-Fab"ian decided to go to KenTing (墾丁) Beach. This beach is located at the most southern part of Taiwan Island. According to locals here, normally at this time of the year, the crowd should subside because weather is turning cold. But this year, we suspect due to the previous typhoon, the cold air has been swept to the north hence weather this year has gone cuckoo.

We went to Tainan Train Station to catch up with our comrades there. Can you spot the 3 Malaysians in this photo?

From there we took a one hour train ride to KaoHsiung Train Station. I was pretty excited because this was my first train ride.

Upon arriving at Kenting Beach, we were greeted by this sight? Nice?

Gosh, blue skies, blue sea, white sands, sunny day... what more can you ask for?

Everything is just so peaceful here. But I find out that there are a few strange name of raod signs here in Kenting. Strange or not strange, you decide.

We also went to the Frog Rock Marine Park here in Kenting. Entrance fee was NTD50 only. We wanted to see what on earth is a frog rock...

The rocks here are indeed different. They are all black in color. and the texture of the rocks are very rough with lots of holes.

The view here is nothing less than spectacular, something you would only see in TV ads...

I love Kenting!

I love Taiwan!
